The purpose of this web site.
I am Jim Brettell.  By physical birth, I am a member of the human race, created by God a free moral agent, and so recognized in our Declaration of Independence:

 “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”  (Please note that “happiness” is not an inalienable right and not guaranteed.  It is the pursuit of happiness that is the inalienable right.)

I am by physical birth a citizen of the United States of America.  Actually, I have been born twice.  I was born the first time the son of Alfred and Mary Jane Brettell.  I was born the second time a son of God.

I am a born-again Christian.  As a born-again Christian, I have the spiritual gift of Pastor-Teacher.  As a born-again Christian, I recognize that my personal freedom is an inalienable right granted by God.  As a citizen of the United States, I understand that my freedom of speech is to be honored by my nation’s government.

I am an ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the founder of four 501 (c) (3) organizations.  I founded these organizations knowing in advance that I would be required to abide by the laws that regulate 501 (c) (3) organizations.  Foolish idea?  Not at all -- not if I follow the law.  Does the law really bind me?  I think not.  As an ordained minister, I understand that I am regulated regarding what I can say politically without jeopardizing my 501 (c) (3) status.  However, I am not only an ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I am a member of the human race and a citizen of the United States with the inalienable right of free speech.  Therefore, I have constructed this web site for the following purpose:

This web site will be used as a platform from which to launch my freedom of speech, NOT AS A PASTOR-TEACHER, but as a U.S. citizen to speak out in favor of and against issues I deem to be important to the survival of our nation as a nation of free people.  My desire is not to speak out as one interested in "political correctness," but to speak out as a citizen who if having been elected to public office would be thought of as a statesman, and not as a politician.  My desire is to provide easy access to pertinent information that will stimulate the thinking of thinking people.  I welcome your input and any direction you might have to articles that will challenge our thinking in a couple of areas:  1) hot-topics of the day, and 2) topics related to the freedoms that belong to us as citizens of the United States of America.

I believe that it would be absurd to state that because I am associated with the James A. Brettell Bible Ministries (JABBM) and the Little Rock NetChurch (LRNC) and each of these organizations hold 501 (c) (3) status that I cannot speak out as a private citizen on sinful issues of the day and contemporary political matters without jeopardizing my 501 (c) (3) status.  This website has no connection with JABBM or the LRNC other than the fact that I am associated with JABBM, LRNC, and this website. My connection with JABBM and LRNC is that of ordained minister. My connection with this website is private citizen of the United States of America.

In closing, let me remind all who come to this web site that its postings come from a man who is a private citizen of the United States of America while at the same time being a born-again Christian who refuses to separate his Christian values from his moment-by-moment walk down the corridors of time.  Please expect my thoughts, comments, and writings to reflect my Christian values as they relate to life as a private citizen of the United States of America and a member of the human race living on planet earth.
